USA vs Chinese import steam generators

I never though I would make this page. I have been avoiding any Chinese import steam generator until now. I have been selling Thermasol, Mr. Steam, and Steamcore as my only generators since I do not promote Chinese imports.

I have to be the one saying this but many of the companies are secretive on their steam generators until I came across someone that proved that the ones I have been selling are from China. I am like, no freaking way. It says made in the USA or made in North America.

So, here it is. If 15% is assembled in the USA a company can claim their steam generator is made in the USA. So, when I found out all the stuff comes from China and its assembled here, that was all I needed to know.

Just being assembled in the USA in my mind when parts are from China in my mind is made in China. So, most of the Chinese imports are not UL and CSA certified. As long are they are certified by CSA, that is the main thing to look for to make sure its a quality product.

Sorry to let all the people that think their product is made in the USA is actually "made" here.

I would bust some of the companies but it's not really a secret. You just have to know what to ask.

The biggest problems and things that need to get sent back for repair with generators are the controllers...about 90% of all problems are with the bluetooth controllers that have fancy touch screens. I rarely have a problem with the simple control panels that just have a higher and lower temperature button and on and off button.

Note: most of the steam generators on the market are not CSA certified for safety. The non certified ones are very cheap and people contact me all the time usually about a year after owning them. I believe these are made to last just over a year. These are the types that have the 1 year warranties.
